I love having a toddler, I really and truly do. That whole first year of a child's life is such a learning curve for a first time parent; it definitely was for me, at least. As each month goes by, I find myself saying "I love this stage!" Francie is 20 months old now, and so darn smart, funny, interesting, etc. I know every parent thinks that about their kid, but that doesn't make it any less true, right?
The mild weather that we've been enjoying lately here in Southeastern Pennsylvania gave us an opportunity to visit a local orchard/ Christmas tree farm. We didn't cut down a tree, since my Mom has a lovely little fake one at home, but we did say hello to the animals and take a look at the charming decorations. Francie is loving all things holiday this year- lights, trees, and of course, Santa Claus. I love watching her discover the enchantment of Christmas and I know her wonder and enjoyment will continue to grow over the years. It's such a beautiful thing. This parenting gig's not too shabby.

If I ever needed a reason why a real Christmas tree is a good idea, the fact that they produce so much oxygen is probably a good one! I never thought about it before that sign though. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so, so excited to get this experience!
ReplyDeleteNo, I hadn't really ever thought of it either! I absolutely love a real tree, fake ones just can't compare.
